American Medical Pathway Honors Program (AMP) is a free social networking site/app for those interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. AMP is a supportive digital community with engaging content that assists with healthcare career discovery and meets students where they are. Through a near-peer mentorship model, students are able to connect to and learn from those who are a step or two ahead of them in the pathway. As a mission-driven initiative that focuses on student access and healthcare workforce development, AMP builds collaborations with educators and organizations with similar goals, making this innovative digital platform an increasingly powerful tool. This session will focus on how educators across the country are currently using AMP as a tool for their classrooms and how building a community around a common purpose can redefine the classroom and reach students who would not otherwise have access.
