Employers are facing a labor shortage and often describe a lack of applicants or applicants that lack the necessary skills required for their vacant positions. Too often, apprenticeships are equated with the skilled trades. Managed by ICF and funded by the US Department of Labor, the Cybersecurity Youth Apprenticeship Initiative (CYAI) was created to dispel that notion and introduce communities to a learn-while-you-earn model.
